Disconnectable Connectors for Medium Current Applications

.156" (3.96mm) Disconnectable Connectors for Medium Current Applications

.156" (3.96mm) Disconnectable Connectors for Medium Current Applications

Introducing crimp terminal housings and friction lock headers, both straight and right-angle, for medium current applications, along with the terminal for joining the housing to the wafer. Visit the product page. These housings and wafers are rated at 7 amps, AC or DC, and have a voltage rating of 250, AC or DC.

With insulation resistance at 1,000 megohms min., and withstanding voltage at 1,500VAC for one minute, these connectors will accept wires ranging from AWG #22 to #18. They are designed to work on a PC board approximately 0.63" (1.6mm) thick.

The contact resistance is 10 milliohms initial value and, after environmental testing, 20 milliohms max. They will operate within a temperature range of -25°C to +85°C. The housing is made from nylon rated at UL94V-0 and comes in a standard white.

Both the straight and right-angle wafers have square wire pins .045" (1.14mm) thick. The entire family consists of the housing (JS-A-9396), a compatible terminal (JS-A-96T), the straight wafer (JS-A-9397) and the right-angle wafer (JS-A-9398).

PCI Card Edge Connectors

PCI Card Edge Connectors

PCI card edge connectors provide basic essential links between components in computers and other electronic devices. PCI stands for peripheral component interconnect, a set of connection standards in the computer industry, but it is almost always referred to simply by its acronym, "PCI".

Our PCI card edge connectors include various types and configurations from 4 to 182 pins per connector. Availability includes DIP types, SMT types, edge-connector (Y) types and low profile models. All of our PCI card edge connectors are designed for easy insertion and extraction with a high retention force.

The PCI bus is common in modern PCs, where it has displaced ISA and VESA Local Bus as the standard expansion bus, but it also appears in many other computer types. The bus is gradually being succeeded by PCI Express.

Typical PCI cards present either one or two key notches, depending on their signaling voltage. Cards requiring 3.3 volts have a notch near the front of the card (where the external connectors are) while those requiring 5 volts have a notch on the other side.

Data Link Connectors

Data Link Connectors

Data Link connectors provide a cost-effective solution and EMI/RFI protection for a wide range of applications from critical medical, point-of-sale, data, communications, and auto electrical system interconnections. Other applications include computers, computer peripherals, video games and process control equipment. Each receptacle has insulation displacement for mass termination of cable for 28 to 24 AWG 7-strand wire.

Connectors available include standard side entry, grounded at the panel, single and multi type. The multi type version has offset flanges to allow connectors to be stacked closely together. Designed for use in class 2 circuits with voltages defined by the National Electrical Code Table 725-31 (a) and (b).

Fully shielded for protection from EMI/RFI, plated with bright tin over brass. Integral wire guidance system provides effortless conductor indexing and seating prior to mass termination of the plug. Durability, 3,000 cycles minimum.

Mass termination dramatically reduces the labor cost of attaching a connector to a cable. Design enhancements have yielded effortless wire indexing and seating prior to the mass termination. These connectors mate smoothly and effortlessly because of their low force contact design. The connector locks in place with a tactile feel and an audible click which is caused by the action of the two plastic latches.

The geometry of the plug and receptacle eliminates the possibility of inserting the plug upside down. The gold-to-gold contact configuration of the connector has been proven in the data systems and telecommunications markets after years of successful service.

FPC/FFC Connectors

FPC/FFC Connectors

Three sizes of FPC (Flex Print Cable)/FFC (Flat Flexible Cable) Connectors available in 0.30mm, 0.50mm and 1.00mm pitch. These high density connectors are used for a variety of internal board-to-board links as well as in such specialty applications as flat panel displays.

The smallest, 0.30mm pitch, come in sizes ranging from 13 to 71 contacts. The .050mm pitch family have 4 to 50 contacts and up to 60 contacts in some models. The 1.00mm pitch connectors have 4 to 32 contacts.

Types include straight or right-angle, surface mount (SMT) or dual in-line (DIP) and in zero insertion force (ZIF) or low insertion force (LIF) models. Upper contact, lower contact and upper-and-lower contact versions. Available on embossed tape via 13" reel or in tubes.

Contacts are phosphor bronze or brass with tin or two levels of gold plate over nickel plate. Insulators are liquid crystal polymer (LCP) or glass-filled nylon, both UL94V-0 rated. Operating temperature from -55°C to +85°C.

SCSI Connectors

Fiber Optic Patch Cords, Adapters & Attenuators

Fiber optic connectors call for a high degree of precision and quality control to maintain extremely low loss connections for up to 500 mating cycles. We offer a complete range of patch cords in with at least 12 different types of connectors. Our adapters and attenuators will match up to any application you may have and meet or exceed your specs.

The variety available includes FC, LC, SC, MT-RJ, MU, D4, DIN, E2000 and SMA type connectors at either or both ends. In addition we can assemble specialty cables, loopbacks and fan-outs, with or without connectors at either end.

All of our fiber optic connectors, patch cords and cable assemblies can be manufactured in single-mode or multi-mode, with appropriate fiber-end treatment such as PC, UPC and APC polishing.

Available in customized lengths and compliant with all major standards including Telecordia GR-326-CORE, TIA/EIA 568-A and DIN 47256. Hybrid and customized versions of all patch cords available on request.
